This is a National health promotion project funded by the Ministry of Health. The coordinator Terewa Phillips is based in Blenheim.

The goal of the Taitamariki Project is to reduce the rate of suicide and suicidal behaviour in Taitamariki maori by strengthening their participation in healthy maori whanau and communities, which provide safety, security and a uniquely Maori sense of identity.

Te Rapuora alongside Poumanawa Oranga, Maataa Waka, Whakatu Marae and Te Maiawhitia in the Marlborough region ("Te Tau Ihu") are committed to working together to implement the Taitamariki Project.
